Technology-Led Economic Development Services

EconoVention R.E.D. (Regional Economic Development) is a not-for-profit Economic Development Organization (E.D.O.) providing technology-led economic development services. We will focus on selected midsized cities in eight states in the Southeastern U.S. We will be led by four senior-level executives with deep experience in all aspects of technology-led economic development. We will lead with strategy services and follow up with integration services in support of implementation.

Our goal will be to start, support, educate, and accelerate technology-led economic development in these selected cities and regions.

Our Vision

The vision of EconoVention R.E.D. is to bring to these midsized cities the skills and capabilities to compete in a digital and rapidly changing workforce world. Coming out of the pandemic, business is accelerating at a faster pace. For these cities to support their current businesses and attract new talent, they will have to keep up with that acceleration. If they do not have the skills, the people, the economic development models, and the financial support, it may be difficult for them to keep up. EconoVention R.E.D. will bring additional resources, skills, and experience to support these cities as they accelerate their technology-led economic development.

The Southeastern U.S. Market is What We Target

The Southeastern U.S. is a rapidly growing area for economic development. The challenge is that most of the growth is occurring in larger cities like Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville, Austin, and Dallas. Many midsized cities are not seeing this growth opportunity, and this has been caused by several factors. The recent pandemic has accelerated migration to the Southeast and opened remote job opportunities, especially in these midsized cities.
